Incorporating Registered Behavior Technicians into School-Based Behavior Consultation Processes
2 CEUs (2 Supervision)
Do you provide behavior consultation support alongside RBTs but have no idea how to best utilize their strengths?
This course guides school-based behavior analysts through integrating RBTs into a consultative model of behavior support, extending the consultation process* you've already begun building and/or implementing.

The instructors provide steps for evaluating needs and resources within your district and demonstrate how to make informed decisions about redesigning RBT roles to strengthen your consultation process. A focus on RBT scope of competence and BCBA delegation of tasks is emphasized throughout.
This course gives BCBAs a practical framework for using RBTs to build the capacity of teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators, rather than on RBTs providing direct, student-specific services written into IEPs.

From Pushback to Partnership:
Using Practice-Based Coaching for School-Based Behavior Consultation
2 CEUs (General)
“That’s not going to work.” “We already tried that.” “Why are you here again?”
Resistance by teachers to behavior consultation is a common challenge for school-based BCBAs. This on-demand CEU introduces school-based BCBAs to Practice-Based Coaching (Snyder et al., 2015), a research-supported coaching model that prioritizes partnership and collaboration to earn trust and buy-in to improve implementation of evidence-based practices in schools. Practice-Based Coaching takes behavior analysts’ consultation skills beyond behavioral skills training to using a structured model for on-going and intentional implementation support.
Throughout the module, participants will learn from a case example where Practice-Based Coaching was used to teach four general education teachers to use Class-wide Function-Related Intervention Teams (CW-FIT) – a Tier I group contingency intervention to improve student on-task behavior.
